What the method adds
Correlation compares leak-related sound reaching sensors at different positions. It can suggest a search area when the route, materials and test conditions are sufficiently understood.
Conditions and limitations
Incorrect route assumptions, weak signals and background noise can affect the result.
Useful preparation
Provide known pipe lengths, material changes and accessible points along the supply.
From result to repair
Equipment readings are considered with the system layout, symptoms and other findings. Where access is justified, the opening and plumbing repair are agreed as part of the instruction. Detection does not remove the need to reach a concealed pipe.
