What the method adds
A suitable pressure check can help assess whether an isolated section holds under the test conditions. Establishing the test boundary is essential: a whole-system result may not distinguish between connected branches.
Conditions and limitations
A pressure change does not itself identify a location. Test conditions and the equipment connected matter.
Useful preparation
Make accessible valves and manifolds available and share earlier readings or tests.
From result to repair
Equipment readings are considered with the system layout, symptoms and other findings. Where access is justified, the opening and plumbing repair are agreed as part of the instruction. Detection does not remove the need to reach a concealed pipe.
