What the method adds
Thermal imaging can reveal temperature differences that help interpret a pipe route or an area worth investigating. It measures the surface; it does not see a pipe through a wall. Heating conditions, finishes and reflections influence what the image means.
Conditions and limitations
A thermal pattern is not proof of a leak. It needs to fit the other observations.
Useful preparation
Share how the heating and hot water have been used. Follow any agreed preparation guidance for the actual system.
From result to repair
Equipment readings are considered with the system layout, symptoms and other findings. Where access is justified, the opening and plumbing repair are agreed as part of the instruction. Detection does not remove the need to reach a concealed pipe.
